Listing rules
Simple rules that keep the marketplace useful and safe for everyone.
1. Fully electric vehicles only
Battery-electric cars, SUVs and trucks only. No hybrids or plug-in hybrids.
2. Vehicles must be located in Canada
The car must be physically in Canada and available to see in person.
3. One listing per vehicle
Don't post the same car more than once. Renew your existing listing instead.
4. Honest information and real photos
Use your own recent photos of the actual car. Describe accidents, battery health and condition truthfully.
5. No deposits or payments through the site
We never handle money. Don't request or accept payment through this site.
About this site
UsedElectricCarsCanada.ca is a listing board only. We are not a party to any sale and don't inspect, guarantee or hold payment for any vehicle. Listings may be edited or removed at our discretion.
Safe buying & selling
- Meet in a public place in daylight, and bring someone with you.
- See the car in person and test drive it before any money changes hands. Never send a deposit for a car you haven't seen.
- Ask for a battery health report and a CARFAX Canada / vehicle history report. Check the VIN matches the ownership.
- Be cautious of buyers who offer more than the asking price, want to pay by certified cheque or e-transfer before seeing the car, or ask you to ship it.
- Sellers: confirm funds have fully cleared before handing over keys and ownership.
- We will never ask you for payment.
